The last time you probably thought about Todd Collins was the last time he started a NFL game in 1997 with the Buffalo Bills.
If you don’t remember, Todd Collins was picked by the Bills in the second round of the 1995 of the NFL draft as the heir to the Jimy Kelly QB throne. Well…he did replace Jim Kelly in 1997, but his run as the Bills’ starting QB lasted about 13 games before being replaced by Alex Van Pelt.
Speed up 10 years and Collins is one win away from leading the Redskins to playoffs after replacing injured Washington starter Jason Campbell and winning three straight.
USA Today has a great story on Todd Collins today and his journey in the NFL…check it out.
