Bulletproof Barton

To be frank…and don’t call me Frank…I wasn’t all that surprised to see that no disciplinary action would be taken againt McKinley High School Principal Crystal Barton in her role in the Jayvonna Kincannon saga.

This quote from BPS Board Member Chris Jacobs spells it out…

Jacobs told reporters that filing disciplinary charges under state law would result in lengthy and expensive proceedings, and probably go for naught. Given that, he said, “I’d rather spend the resources” reforming the student discipline system to prevent similar breakdowns.

Jacobs was then asked by The Buffalo News whether that means that no disciplinary charges were being filed under state law.

“I’m not fully satisfied,” he replied. “That’s the reason I’m not fully satisfied.”

Makes you wonder what exactly a principal would have to do to get disciplined and how the system is set up to insulate them.  I hear the sound of everything being swept under the rug.

Not right…not right at all!
