Mister Crowley and Ozzy. . .

His Ozzness…

I like Ozzy…I know over the last few years his act has gotten a bit tired…the Osbourne’s reality show on MTV turned me off…an even bigger turnoff was when he redid the Black Sabbath classic “Changes” with his daughter…with Ozzy there has always been this balance of image and music…as the years have progressed on his career, the image aspect and branding of such starting lurching out ahead of the music. He still puts out 1/2 way decent music…heck, I am amazed he is still alive…but all and all, he ain’t what he used to be…who of us are?

But…

If you look at the body of his work with Black Sabbath and a bulk of his solo efforts, a pretty amazing career with some pretty amazing music.

I rediscovered “The Blizzard of Oz” the other day and it was a reminder of how much I love Ozzy.

(excuse the video…I wanted to post a studio version of Mr. Crowley and this is all I could find on YouTube…)

  1. Ironic that we’re crossing paths. I had to write Mr.Crowley on the chalkboard as a young sub teacher at Seneca Vocational HS @ 666 E. Delevan Ave years ago. There was actually a small contingent of satanic admirers attending at the time who went bat guano when they read my name and asked if I was related. Ahhh, of course, crazy uncle Al we called him… anything to get them on your side you know. Peace
