UB Bulls win football opener 42-17 over UTEP

(UB players celebrate with fans after win)

Two running backs over 100 yards rushing + quaterback throws 4 tds + defense picks off three balls generally adds up to a win…far too often in UB’s recent football past, the Bulls were usually on the opposite end of stats like that…from all indications those days may be over…I know…one game doesn’t make a season…but those who have followed UB football long enough can sense that there is something different happening on the field…granted, UTEP is no football powerhouse, but they do play in Conference USA…I don’t know if next week’s game against a Pitt will be any indication either as to where UB is at as a team considering the Panthers themselves are supposed to be good…we may not truly know until after the Western Michigan game 10/11…why…the Bulls will have a couple conference games under their belt by then…between now and then they will have to play an improved Temple team and a top ten ranked Missouri…it is strange because Bulls fans haven’t been in this position of expecting more…I really don’t what to expect.

The game was fun to attend…UB Stadium has moved out of the scoreboard dark ages and have a video board…pretty cool…I was a little disappointed with the 16,000 plus crowd…but the Bills were playing at home…the Bisons too.

If the Bulls start winning consistently, I think Buffalo will show up in bigger numbers.

Found the UB victory song on the net…enjoy!
