Holy Freakin’ Sarah Palin!

I don’t think there has ever been a single person in the history of blogging to receive the kind of attention the good Governor of Alaska is receiving from the blogosphere…Sarah Palin talk is everywhere on the net…I am not just talking politcal or news either…there are posts aplenty on every imaginable kind of site and blog.  A lot of it sheer insanity.

Talk shows and the mainstream media are runing crazy with Palin as well.

Call me crazy…but…it wouldn’t be all that surprising to learn that this is what McCain and company had hoped and for…think about it…they had to know that all media and blog hell was going to break loose once the word got out about Palin’s daughter and it has…controversy sells.  If they did antcipate what was going to happend…genius.  Barack Obama has been knocked out of the spotlight. There has been very little Obama talk since Palin was named running mate of McCain.  The Democratic National Convention and Obama’s speech have not had any sort of signifigant afterlife media-wise.  The Republicans and their convention seem to be energized by what has gone on since Friday.

I also have to wonder if McCain and company antcipated what also keeps giving this story life…the way many left leaning pundits, bloggers, columnists, Obama supporters, etc. have been downright nasty in their analysis of the Palin pick and the situation with her daughter.

All of it I am guessing will lead to a lot of people who wouldn’t have tuned in otherwise to the Rebublican’s VP acceptance speech, to do just that…tune in.  I know I will be and wouldn’t have without what has transpired over the last few days.  Tonight has to be one of the most anticpated VP acceptance speeches ever.

  1. I think the Obama strategy right now has more to do with the “give ’em a rope and let them hang themselves” line of thought. Rather than go on attack and possibly look judgmental, they just sit back and let it unfold.

  2. Obama doesn’t allow himself to get caught up in the mucky…muck…been a good strategy for him.

It will be interesting to see how both campaigns adjust their strategy after the RNC.
