The UB Bulls’ heart-stopping, last second win over Temple University is a finalist in ESPN.com’s “Game Changing Performance” of the year contest.
In week three of the 2008 NCAA Football Season, Buffalo Quarterback Drew Willy threw a 35-yard, “Hail Mary” touchdown pass on the last play of the game to Naaman Roosevelt to beat Temple 30-28. That play was voted as the Pontiac Game Changing Performance for that week. As a result, Buffalo earned a $5,000 general scholarship contribution from Pontiac.
Now it is up to the fans to determine if the Bulls will receive a $100,000 scholarship contribution from Pontiac. Voting for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance takes place now through midnight on Tuesday, January 6, 2009.
