Generation Y just a click away

Generation-Y

We live in amazing times…there has never been another point in the history of our crazy planet where most of the free or not-so-free world is just a click away.  The internet has become a voice for people all over the world who otherwise would have no voice.

Yoani Sánchez is one of these people.

She is part of an underground blogging revolution in Cuba.

Sánchez was recently abducted and beaten in Cuba for being a “counter revolutionary.”

Yesterday she published a post of responses from President Barack Obama to questions she sent to him recently.  Incredible…

This is part of the President’s response to her:

Your blog provides the world a unique window into the realities of daily life in Cuba. It is telling that the Internet has provided you and other courageous Cuban bloggers with an outlet to express yourself so freely, and I applaud your collective efforts to empower fellow Cubans to express themselves through the use of technology. The government and people of the United States join all of you in looking forward to the day all Cubans can freely express themselves in public without fear and without reprisals.

Sánchez also posted a series of questions for Raúl Castro, President of Cuba.

The blog is freedom…bookmark it…read it…share it…we have the power to help impact this revolution.
