I’ve blogged about this before when the issue was raised awhile back.
Grocery stores want to be able to sell wine at their stores in New York…simple solution…give them the ability to only sell wines from the state at their establishments.
This would give the supermarkets what they want and give a bump to the state’s wine industry.
Seems like a winning idea to me.
I know that in a perfect world any business would be able to sell whatever they want, but the way the wine and liquor laws were established in New York, a drastic change would hurt existing businesses who solely sell booze.
