Sabres knock off Stars 5-3

Since the Olympic break, the Sabres’ games have been low scoring affairs…

I don’t think I was the only one who was surprised by six goals in the first period.

Buffalo is now on a three game winning streak and have found their game again.

This game was bout Tyler Myers…a four point night…a helluva game…this kid is the best rookie to come the Sabres way in a long long time.

From Lindy Ruff…

”He’s been an important piece to our team,” Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said of Myers, who was the 12th pick in the 2008 Entry Draft. ”I thought even in the third period, he was just having fun playing.”

And that is just it…the kid is having fun and playing great…he rarely looks otherwise.

A lot of the season and Sabres’ success has surrounded Ryan Miller, but Tyler Myers’ play has been a big part of the success as well.

The Sabres play the Wild on Friday before heading out on a five game road trip.

Go Sabres!
