Last week I resubscribed to the print version of the Buffalo News for home delivery on the weekends.

A couple of years ago I thought I could get by with just reading the online version of the paper.  Something hit me a couple weeks back.  The realization that I was reading little of what the Buffalo News offered online.  As with other news websites, it is easy to skim through titles of articles and then skip over a lot of articles.  I also think it is a function of how we digest online content in general…seeking things that only interest us or support our ideas including the type of news stories we read.

I used to be a cover to cover reader of the Buffalo News.  Okay, that’s not 100% accurate.  What I used to do is sit and go through the paper cover to cover and read more of its content and a wide range of different stories.

That is why I have resubscribed to the paper version of the local paper.  It is only weekends to start.  I will see what happens.
